Scholarship Student Selection

with B-GET

What is B-GET?

B-GET (BeWise Global English Test)
is a standardized academic English proficiency assessment designed to measure English-language competence
in a concrete way and serve as a benchmark
for selecting youth to join the BeWise Global Exchange student exchange program. Test achievement results
will be referenced against the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(CEFR).

Academic Standards and Recognition

The B-GET structure is designed and academically controlled by English-language teaching specialists
(Master of Education in TESOL, University of Exeter, United Kingdom)
. The test also undergoes content-validity review
(Index of Item-Objective Congruence: IOC) by qualified experts to ensure it reflects the candidate's ability
accurately and fairly.

Exam Format

The exam is divided into 2 parts:

1. Written test
2. Attitude interview (online)

Written Test Details

This test measures English proficiency
in a multiple-choice format
with 60 questions
and a test duration of 90 minutes.

Listening

15 questions based on listening to a dialogue between 2 people.

Speaking

15 questions in a conversation completion format.

Reading

15 questions based on 3 reading passages from a variety of sources.

Writing

15 questions in text completion format focused on grammar knowledge.

Attitude Interview (Online)

Candidates selected for the interview
will be chosen based on their total written-test score.
The top 5 candidates will advance to the attitude interview round (conducted in English).

Evaluation Criteria

BeWise Global Exchange sets the minimum selection threshold at B1 (Intermediate)
to confirm readiness at the level of an "Independent User"
for learning alongside international students and adapting
within diverse cultural contexts.

Host family accommodation policy The program arranges standard Twin Bedroom accommodation. Students may specify a preferred roommate, or the program may assign roommates as appropriate. However, if a suitable roommate cannot be arranged, students aged 16 and above may need to stay in a single room, but cannot request a single room from the beginning. Host families may also have students from other programs staying in the home during the same period.

Class placement Students aged 16 and above will be placed according to their language level based on the online Placement Test before departure, and may study with students of other nationalities in the same age group. Students under 16 will study in a class for Thai students under 16 traveling together, because the institute does not allow students under 16 to study with adult classes for safety reasons.
